Megvii

Megvii is a Beijing-headquartered computer vision and deep-learning company founded in 2011 by Tsinghua University graduates Yin Qi, Tang Wenbin, and Yang Mu. It is best known for Face++, one of the world's largest computer vision platforms, which provides facial recognition, identification, and authentication used in payment and identity systems.

Megvii has since expanded into full-stack AI solutions for IoT scenarios including smart cities, logistics automation, and enterprise management, and operates one of the largest computer vision research groups in the industry. The company was valued at roughly US$4 billion in 2019.
