Meta AI is Meta's (formerly Facebook) artificial intelligence research division developing open-source foundation models and AI systems. Meta AI builds the Llama (Large Language Model Meta AI) family of foundation models including Llama 2, Llama 3, Llama 3.1, and Llama 3.2, which are widely used open-source alternatives to proprietary models.

Meta AI also develops multimodal models, computer vision systems, and AI agents. Meta AI Research (FAIR) pioneers advancements in deep learning, NLP, and robotics.
